Life Through The Lens – Part II – June 9 Image

During my recent trip to Ireland, and being the first time I had visited I was not sure what to expect. I had hoped for beautiful landscapes and seascapes which I certainly got. However what I had not really given any thought too was the incredible history of Ireland and all of the old ruins and such that are everywhere. The image below is of the Bonamargy Friary located in Northern Ireland outside of Ballycastle. It was established in 1485. Just wandering around these ruins was a journey on its own. Trying to read some of the inscriptions on the headstones was near impossible as most were well faded. But I saw many from the 1800’s.
