Happy Canada Day! Canada is 148 years young today and as beautiful as ever! As a nation we have a lot to be proud of in this country. As hard as our politicians try to destroy this amazing country, everyday Canadians pick up the pieces and rebuild it. I have been fortunate to visit every province but 1 and one of the 3 territories. The Yukon is on my list in 2016! I have also been fortunate to visit many beautiful places around the world, but every time I return to Canada, I say to myself “Canada is still my favourite country in the world!”
Here are some of my favourite images from across Canada!
(BTW…I am behind a couple of days on my LTTL project and I will catch up)
Sometimes you just have to get very weird! Some are going to like this, some are going to hate it, but most will admit that it is different! This is a shot from downtown Hamilton, Main Street and James Street, that I went WAY overboard on the HDR effect.
I had a busy day today and then we were hosting a dinner this evening so I had very little time to get a picture for today. I stepped outside, on my covered porch since it is raining, and snapped this shot of the house across the street from us. I like their message in the windows! If only we could all live by those words!
At lunch today I took a drive through Ancaster and made a few stops. It was a winter wonderland out there! 🙂 One of my stops was along Sulphur Springs Road. This is a very pretty road during the fall and equally so in the winter!
Late this afternoon I headed to Cootes Bay as I had been watching the clouds and it looked to be potential for a nice sunset. The water levels at Cootes are certainly low. I was able to walk along the edge of the water in areas I usually cannot. The sunset, although not as spectacular as I thought it might be, was certainly pretty. The clouds were really moving as well.
