Camera Movement

As I progress further and further along my journey through photography, I find myself leaning more and more into the very creative and artistic side and way less into the technical side. Camera movement is one such piece of the artistic and creative vision. It is a very simple technique yet one I have done very seldom. For this I simply sat the camera on a solid surface, set a small aperture and as a result a longer shutter speed and then moved the camera horizontally as I was pressing the shutter button.

ON1 Effects Software

Yesterday through my Drobo (Data Robotics) account I received a complimentary copy of ON1 Effects software and plugin for Lightroom and PS. This is the first image I have been playing with. Sunset on the seas somewhere between South America and The Falkland Islands.

Life Through The Lens – Part III – June 3 – Desert Sunset

June is sunset and sunrise month during my Life Through The Lens project!

Last week I spent a couple of days in Arizona and one evening I noticed lots of cool clouds forming about 1 hour before sunset. I had scouted a location previously and went back to that spot for sunset. Mother Nature did not disappoint!

Cannon Knitting Mill

Yesterday I wandered to a few of the sites in Hamilton, Ontario that were part of the Doors Open 2018 event. This event happens every year and is great for those wanting to see the inside of buildings that are usually not accessible to the general public.

My favourite stop of the day was the old Cannon Knitting Mills on Mary Street. The original foundry building was built in 1854 and additions were made in 1910 and 1911-1922. There is certainly no lack of interesting images in this building!
