About photobycraig

I have been a photographer for over 20 years. I ran my own Wedding & Portrait business for over 10 years, before the workload became too much and I settled in to doing landscape and nature workshops every year and having fun with photography!

The Compositions of Mother Nature

For the most part, I am not a “rules” kind of photographer. Could care less about them to be honest. Whatever makes me happy I shoot and I process. I don’t care if the image is technically perfect or it falls within the rule of thirds or any of the other so called rules. But when Mother Nature creates these beautiful compositions and they just happen to cover basically ever composition, lets call them “guidelines” out there well who am I to argue! 🙂

Carrying the Flag

I am working outside of Jefferson City, MO this weekend, and this afternoon I finished up early and went for a walk around this pretty city that I have never been too. It was a gorgeous day for wandering!

A Windy Day

I have driven across the Grand River bridge in Caledonia, Ontario many times and always wondered what the big, white building was up the river. Today I ventured over and found it was the old Caledonia Mill. Upon talking to a local who was walking by while I was taking pictures, he told me they were going to tear down the building in April.

Early Morning Sky

I went over to Binbrook Conservation Area early this morning in hopes of a nice sunrise. Mother Nature was not keen on giving me colours, but the sky was still pretty none the less.
