The Compositions of Mother Nature

For the most part, I am not a “rules” kind of photographer. Could care less about them to be honest. Whatever makes me happy I shoot and I process. I don’t care if the image is technically perfect or it falls within the rule of thirds or any of the other so called rules. But when Mother Nature creates these beautiful compositions and they just happen to cover basically ever composition, lets call them “guidelines” out there well who am I to argue! 🙂

A Windy Day

I have driven across the Grand River bridge in Caledonia, Ontario many times and always wondered what the big, white building was up the river. Today I ventured over and found it was the old Caledonia Mill. Upon talking to a local who was walking by while I was taking pictures, he told me they were going to tear down the building in April.

Dinner Time!

I found another wetlands nature park with boardwalks, this time in Tampa, Florida. I went for a walk for an hour or so this afternoon and managed to catch this Grey Heron with a Catfish.

A Pretty Sunset

I spent the day out near St. Jacobs, Ontario driving around and photographing. On my way home, since it had been such a nice day, I decided to stop in at Cootes Bay and wait for sunset. As usual I was not disappointed!
