Several years ago I started a project I called “Imagine”. The purpose of this project was to entice Canadians to see more of Canada by showing them images of some of the beautiful places in Canada and asking them to “Imagine” what it would be like if they were standing in that spot. I have always thought that so many Canadians tend to travel to the Caribbean, or to Mexico or the US instead of staying here in our incredibly beautiful county. There is so much to see and do in this country and yet so few Canadians actually “see” it.
In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday I have put together a video of images I have taken across Canada. I hope you enjoy these images and that you can visit some of the stunning places that these images come from.
I have been spending a few days in the Faroe Islands. If you don’t know where that is, use Google Maps! 🙂 The weather has been truly dramatic. Never have I seen the weather change so quickly and the such incredible skies every few minutes!
This is the village of Gasadalur. This shot was taken between winds howling at 30+ km/h, driving rain and sleet and, well sunshine! 🙂
There are many beautiful places in the Canadian Rockies, but one of my favourites is still Mistaya Canyon! The rock formations carved by the incredible force of water over millions of years are simply awesome!
Was in Niagara Falls this afternoon for a couple of hours. It was a hot and humid afternoon, with lots of people at the falls. I did not feel overly creative today so this is just a standard shot of the mighty Niagara taken with my iPhone.
Today I taught my Digital Photography For Beginners course and I had an awesome group of people! They had a lot of fun and took some great images! For the field section of the day we ventured out on a rather chilly afternoon to Tiffany Falls just outside of Ancaster. It is a beautiful waterfall and has lots of potential to create great images.
