The Faroe Islands

Photography is a powerful medium. Being able to tell a story with images adds emotion and feeling to those images. It is my hope you will enjoy my story of the Faroe Islands.

Gasadalur, Faroe Islands

I have been spending a few days in the Faroe Islands. If you don’t know where that is, use Google Maps! 🙂  The weather has been truly dramatic. Never have I seen the weather change so quickly and the such incredible skies every few minutes!

This is the village of Gasadalur. This shot was taken between winds howling at 30+ km/h, driving rain and sleet and, well sunshine! 🙂

There are many beautiful places in the Canadian Rockies, but one of my favourites is still Mistaya Canyon! The rock formations carved by the incredible force of water over millions of years are simply awesome!

Was in Niagara Falls this afternoon for a couple of hours. It was a hot and humid afternoon, with lots of people at the falls. I did not feel overly creative today so this is just a standard shot of the mighty Niagara taken with my iPhone.

Today I taught my Digital Photography For Beginners course and I had an awesome group of people! They had a lot of fun and took some great images! For the field section of the day we ventured out on a rather chilly afternoon to Tiffany Falls just outside of Ancaster. It is a beautiful waterfall and has lots of potential to create great images.

This is Upper Princess Falls, one of the beautiful waterfalls located along the Chedoke Trail here in Hamilton.

This afternoon after work, even though there was a light drizzle I grabbed the camera bag and the tripod and headed out for a hike along the Chedoke Trail. The colours are amazing and just being out in nature was so good for the soul. This is one of the many waterfalls along the trail.
