Life Through The Lens – Part III – March 2 Image

We got a sprinkling of snow overnight and the trees downtown Burlington this morning were very pretty!

Today was a rainy but reasonably warm day for mid February. There is no ice on Lake Ontario but some fog had built up over near the Skyway Bridge.

Today’s image is a bit abstract as I really liked this yellow leaf amongst the green leaves of the fern. Photographed in Panama City, Panama.

Lonely Tree

I went for a walk this morning to Bayfront Park in Hamilton. It was a reasonably nice morning. Lots of birds were flying about and collecting food. During my walk I came across this lonely tree by itself and as I was snapping the shots, a couple of birds flew into the frame.

Century Manor

I was wandering around the escarpment in Hamilton this afternoon and happened by Century Manor, the last remaining building of Hamilton’s Insane Asylum. This particular building housed the worst of the worst, the criminally insane. I noticed the sign about no trespassing. One wonders if that is to protect you from the ghosts that haunt the old building…

Fall Colours in Algonquin Park

Yesterday I drove up to Algonquin Park, in central / north Ontario to check out the fall colours. The trees always change earlier up there and I was not disappointed!

This shot was taken with the camera sitting on the ground. There are always new and different angles to try out and I love how this looks!
