Governors Mansion

During my walk in Jefferson City yesterday I happened by the Governors Mansion. I love the blooming flowers!

It seems these days I am taking way more shots with my iPhone than with any other camera I own. Sometimes when I am out and about something catches my eye and I just pull out the iPhone and snap away. The Snapseed app on the phone is by far my favourite app and I use it quite often. I love the abstract stuff and having a great camera in the iPhone really helps me capture the world around me!

After work today I went for a short walk through historic Buford, Georgia. It is a pretty little town. i walked down a side street and happened to glance down another, even smaller street and noticed these flower boxes on a railing in front of an old stone wall.

A little bit of colour on a dull day. With all of the sad events of late, sometimes a wee bit of colour helps brighten a day!

I went for a little hike this afternoon into the field behind my house. There were lots of bees buzzing about the wild flowers and enjoying the beautiful day!

This morning we hired a taxi to take us on a tour of Taormina. It was a great tour and the views were spectacular! The Greek amphitheatre was awesome! Apparently they have held concerts in it including Elton John!

Today we drove from Agrigento to Taormina on the east coast of Sicily. What a beautiful little town situated along the cliffs of the Mediterranean! It is very touristy and also very busy. I went on search in some of the town stores for shorts only to be told it is too cold for those this time of year. The temperature is 38 degrees Celsius with 80% humidity! Too cold? I absolutely love the small streets and gorgeous balconies…wow! 🙂

After a rather long day of travel by air and car I finally arrived in Queretaro, Mexico late in the afternoon. Since this cold of mine just refuses to let go, it made the trip just that much more fun!

I am staying in a Holiday Inn in Queretaro. It is quite picturesque and very nicely decorated. This particular window is part of the conference building.
