Panama City is the capital and largest city in Panama. It is located on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal. It has a population of about 1.5 million people and is the political and administrative centre of the country of Panama. Interestingly enough it is one of the top 5 places in the world to retire too according to International Living Magazine.
This morning I hired a driver to show me some of the “touristy” sites in and around Panama City. It was a beautiful morning in the city and I did a lot of walking. Here is an image from down at the waterfront.
I had the day off today here in Switzerland, so I drove up to Zermatt to view the Matterhorn. On the way I saw some dramatic light near Vevey and stopped for a short time. There is a beautiful museum in the town as well.
I awoke early this morning to rain, but decided to head down to the Burlington waterfront to meet up with other photographers in hopes of Mother Nature easing up on the rain. Well she did and although the sun did not make much of an appearance, the sky was wonderful!
I am working near Danville, Virginia over the weekend, and this afternoon I had an opportunity to spend some time walking the awesome river walk along the Dan River. There is an old, abandoned cotton mill in Danville, and with the cloudy sky, just made it look even more decrepit.
