Cannon Knitting Mill

Yesterday I wandered to a few of the sites in Hamilton, Ontario that were part of the Doors Open 2018 event. This event happens every year and is great for those wanting to see the inside of buildings that are usually not accessible to the general public.

My favourite stop of the day was the old Cannon Knitting Mills on Mary Street. The original foundry building was built in 1854 and additions were made in 1910 and 1911-1922. There is certainly no lack of interesting images in this building!

Wind

Another windy afternoon here in Burlington, Ontario. Nothing lie a few weeks ago but long exposures make for some nice cloud movement.

The Bandit

I saw this young fellow on my walk through Grindstone Marsh this morning. At first he was skittish, but I sat down on the ground and after a few moments, he just went about his business.

Moody Piers

Sunrise just did not happen this morning at the old piers in Grimsby, Ontario, but before the rains started there was some nice light.

Pathway Closed

This has been a crazy weekend of weather here in southern Ontario. High winds, driving sleet, freezing rain and snow have all been mixed together. The wind created some spectacular waves at Spencer Smith Park here in Burlington on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Into The Light

A very pretty sky this morning here in Burlington.
