Life Through The Lens – Part II – April 1 Image


Sometimes you see a sign that makes you question not only the intelligence, but the sanity of those responsible for making the law or rule that the sign is attempting to enforce. 

This one in the elevator of the hotel I was staying in, in Baltimore is one such sign. One has to wonder how a MAXIMUM $25 fine could possibly deter someone from smoking in this elevator. I guess they are not very serious in Maryland about people smoking in public areas.

  1. I’m sure the Commissioner of Labor and Industry knows the tobacco industry butters some of his bread, so a large fine wouldn’t benefit either labor or industry in Maryland, I suppose. Now, if it was the Board of Health… 🙂
