  1. Oh wow, how cool! Wonderful photo! Did you use a tripod? The stars seem to have moved. This can be avoided by a shorter shutter speed (and thus a higher iso/bigger aperture). To avoid star movement the formula 600 / focal length can be used. So a for a focal length of 20 your shutter should be max 30 seconds.

    What a fantastic photo. Must have such a great trip!

    • Yes I used a tripod and yes I know all of the formulas! 🙂 This shutter speed was 30 seconds at f2.8. You will get star movement at 30 seconds. I was not willing to move my ISO any higher. I don’t mind the tiny bit of movement in the stars!
