In my ongoing effort to promote villages, towns and cities throughout Ontario and across Canada in conjunction with my Imagine project, this afternoon I visited the city of Brantford, west of Hamilton. Brantford has quite a famous history as the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell lived there and also conducted the first long distance telephone call from Brantford to Paris, Ontario in 1876. As well Brantford is also famous for being the birth place of the most prolific scorer in NHL history, Wayne Gretzky. There is a mixture of old and new buildings in Brantford. Some have been restored and the downtown area is very pretty. This image below is of the Superior Court of Justice building.
